Location: Czech Republic
Application: Factory and Office Building Security Surveillance
When a Taiwanese multinational broadband company opened a factory in the Czech Republic, they needed a reliable and cost-efficient security system to monitor the factory and surrounding perimeter. Due to the geographical distance, management and interoperation from the company’s headquarters in Taiwan proved to be a difficult situation. This company decided to utilize Brickcom FB-100A cameras and NR-1604 network recorders to create an IP surveillance solution for onsite and remote monitoring of the factory’s facilities. The use of IP technology enables the surveillance system to be viewed from virtually any internet connection access point, enabling remote access from the headquarters in Taiwan. This Brickcom solution provided an affordable and easy-to-use path to real-time control and real-time monitoring of the Czech factory.
IP Surveillance Benefits
Brickcom FB-100A cameras were installed strategically around the factory’s facility to cover the office, production zone, warehouse, building exterior, and perimeter. With megapixel resolution video transmitted at up to 30 frames per second, each camera is able to provide high resolution, real time coverage of the key areas of the factory. Seven of the cameras were equipped with Brickcom EN-1000 Outdoor Enclosures and Heaters which enable these cameras to operate at optimal efficiency in the Czech temperatures which can range from -5*C (23*F) in the winter to 22*C(72*F) in the summer. The FB-100A cameras monitoring the key areas of the factory were equipped with Brickcom IR-040 Infrared Illuminators to allow the cameras to provide superior coverage day and night.
Brickcom NR-1604 network video recorders were used to store the video feed from the FB-100A cameras. With the surveillance solution being accessed from multiple locations and by multiple viewers, the NVR provided a useful tool for controlling the access levels of users to the live view, playback, and system configurations. Customized user access levels can be easily assigned to individual cameras, the NVRs, and the surveillance system as a whole. This multinational company did not have to worry about unauthorized individuals accessing the system’s configuration and control settings.
The flexible recording options offered by the Brickcom FB-100A cameras and NVRs are ideal for conserving storage space and bandwidth. Because of the layout of the factory facilities, this company required 24/7 surveillance of the key entrances and perimeter of the factory, but the production facilities only required surveillance when it was in use. Each camera offers four flexible recording options: continuous, scheduled, motion activated, and alarm; ensuring that significant events are recorded, all areas are protected and the storage capacity is used efficiently.
Successful IP Application
Since the installation of the Brickcom IP surveillance systems, company management has been able to effectively manage the factory facilities both onsite in the Czech Republic and remotely from the headquarters in Taiwan. Onsite, the factory management can ensure the maximum productivity from the factory workers and ensure the safety of the facility property and equipment.
With factories and warehouses located in Europe, China, Taiwan, and the United States, this company needs to ensure efficient processes and protection of their assets. The Czech Factory’s IP surveillance system offers remote access which company management in Taiwan has been able to utilize to improve the efficiency of their production and manufacturing capacity. With IP, company management and shareholders can be assured of the safety of their investment and ensure coordination between the Czech factory and other factories and warehouses located worldwide.
